Now in our 94th year, Petersburg Medical Center continues to serve the residents and guests of Petersburg with up-to-date, quality medical services.
Our primary care clinic, home health service and long-term care center are fully integrated with the acute care hospital. Emergency care is available 24 hours a day.
Owned by the City of Petesburg, the medical center is a charter member of the Alaska Small Hospital Performance Improvement Network (ASHPIN) and the Alaska State Hospital and Nursing Home Association (ASHNHA).

Petersburg Medical Center Foundation
Established: April 1990 as Petersburg General Hospital Foundation; renamed in February 2000 as Petersburg Medical Center Foundation.
Mission: Excellence in healthcare services and promotion of wellness in our community.
Petersburg Medical Center (PMC) Foundation is a non-profit 501 (3)(c) organization that was established to maintain support and assistance to Petersburg Medical Center. PMC Foundation strives to enhance the quality of PMC care through benevolent assistance by providing capital improvements and other financial assistance to PMC, to its employees and to its patients. In addition, PMC Foundation has established and maintains a scholarship loan fund and assists with attracting potential physicians and other healthcare professionals to Petersburg, Alaska.

Petersburg Medical Center Foundation is appealing to the community for financial assistance with the expectation that the community that derives benefits from this facility will help us continue to maintain and upgrade our service offering. Your tax-exempt contribution may be applied to whichever area you designate: general use, capital improvement projects, scholarship fund, memorials, etc. It is through your generosity that you and others in the community, will continue to benefit from having quality healthcare services available locally.
Norma J. Tenfjord Scholarship
The scholarship was established to assist students with their education in healthcare. The scholarship is designed to promote healthcare careers in the community of Petersburg and to attract healthcare providers to establish their career in Petersburg.
