The church of the first century was a mission minded church and we at South Anchorage desire to be as they were!  We feel the primary responsibility of Christians is to carry out the great commission (Matt. 28:19-20).   We take this responsibility very seriously and therefore, over 60% of our budget is dedicated to spreading the good news about Jesus.

Our domestic outreach includes our local evangelist as well as a full time elder at South Anchorage, support for the church in Homer Alaska and partial support for two other evangelists based in the Lower Forty-eight states. 

Our foreign mission outreach includes twelve native preachers partially supported and four fully supported in India, one native preacher fully supported in each of the following countries: Nigeria, The Philippines and Mexico.  Our members are encouraged to visit our mission points and several have made trips to India and other areas to encourage and work with the men we support as well as other gospel preachers.
