The conference organizing committee drafted
seven decisions / resolutions that were placed before participants
for a vote on the final day of conference activities in Anga
(August 12, 2007). The decisions collectively received an affirmative
vote from all present, with no objections. The decisions are:
- To accept the activity of the Joint Siberian-Alaskan
Research Group on Russian America formed in 2005 and its initiative
to hold the Third International Conference on Russian America
in Irktusk as successful.
- To accept the idea of the formation of the "International
Association of Specialists on Studies of Russian America"
(IASSRA) worked out at the conference as efficient.
- To continue studying the feasibility of the creation
of a "Musuem of the Russian American Company and Historical-Cultural
Center" on the ground floor of the building of the former
office of the Russian American Company at Surikova Street 24
in Irkutsk.
- To support the initiative of a "Joint Siberian-Alaskan
Exploratory Group" for organizing exchange visits and mobile
exhibitions to promote the study of Russian America.
- To support the initiative of the Taltsi Museum of
Ethnography and Architecture in exploring the possibility of
the reconstruction and establishment of a museum of the site
of the Talicinskii Glassworks, founded by Erik Laxman and Alexander
Baranov in 1784. The project would be based on the results of
archaeological and historical studies.
- To support the initiative of the Public Cultural Center
"Anginskiy" in establishing a Historical-Memorial Center
in the settlement of Anga, Kachugskii district of the Irktutsk
Region with the reconstruction of the homestead of Bishop Innocent
(Veniaminov) and the reconstruction of Anginskaya IIyinskaya
Church.
- To continue holding the International Conference on
Russian America, alternately in the USA and Russia, every three
years. (The next conference has been scheduled for Sitka on August
19-21, 2010).
