Information"The mission of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church is to praise God and to proclaim the Good News of life and salvation through faith in Jesus Christ by: recognizing and responding to human need; inviting people into the community of faith; nurturing people with word and sacrament; and empowering people to live out their faith with others."
Nothing quite compares to the joy of Christian friendship. Everyone is special at Shepherd of the Valley, especially the children. We want them to know they belong and we value their presence.
If you are searching for a church home, we would like you to know there is a special place here for you. We have special programs and ministries for children, youth and adults, which fill the church calendar all year long. Many opportunities are available to participate in the life of the church and in the outreach to others within our community.
We are an "inclusive church! The sacraments of baptism and holy communion are open for all to receive.
Shepherd of the Valley was organized May 5, 1985. Our present church building was then constructed and officially dedicated in December, 1987. New ground was broken in April, 1999 for our building addition. The addition will be completed and dedicated in the Spring of 2002.
We are very excited about the new addition. We now have space for Sunday School classes, and a large fellowship hall. Our new space will also allow us to do outreach into the community by providing a welcoming place for others to meet.
