July 7th trip

John,

I am writing to tell you how much I enjoyed the Starbound experience you provided during my Alaska visit. From the time I pulled into your place on my Harley, you took care of every detail of the tour of Prince William Sound, and I was free to enjoy fishing, jet-skiing, and exploring. When we departed on our individual jet-skis, you led the way with your GPS navigation set, and we maintained contact using your hand-held radios. You led me immediately to incredible scenery and fishing spots. You and your company, Starbound, have hit a home run with the idea of tours done on individual water-craft.

You proved your dedication to customer satisfaction when you loaded my Harley on your truck and took me to the repair shop in Anchorage. My next vacation to Alaska will definitely include another Starbound tour.

Sincerely,

Dr. Edward Friday

Prince Williams Sound is a place that I had loved from the first time I was there. Shortly after I visited, I moved there. But even after living there, I knew I wanted more. I knew that I wanted to see PWS for the beauty of it … not just what I could see living in Whittier. I knew PWS well from living in Whittier, or so I thought. I had seen many sides of PWS - retrieving medical patients needing assistance from cruise ships, viewing the harbor from my front window, and fishing on boats that belonged to friends. But nothing, NOTHING, could compete with the experience that I had with Star Bound Adventures. My Star Bound trip is something that I will never forget - it was an experience of a lifetime.

I thought that the day was going to be a "just" a day of jet skiing. Having never jet skied before, I had no idea what I was in for. I could not have been more wrong! It was more than just jet skiing, it was an exploring Alaska, exploring nature, and being able to see things that I would never have been able to see in any other way. Looking back, even if I had jet skied before, nothing could have compared to the experience that I had. It was AWESOME!

The trip was planned, the float plan was filed, the food was packed, and the "boats" were ready. Everything was ready. Nothing could have been more perfect! Our trip was custom tailored just for us.

Our day started with our safety briefing in the boat harbor in Whittier. We quickly moved into open waters, which were very claim that day. We carefully "zipped" around other boats, and even waived to a cruise ship - they seemed amazed at what we were doing! A small cove provided for excellent fishing, although we chose not to eat our fish for lunch. After all, we were having too much fun to stop and cook the fish. The fish were available for us to take home, however.

I will never forget another little cove that we found. In our effort to document our trip, I became the photographer for a short time. I quickly learned that the spray from the jet sky could be huge, as I was "sprayed" while taking the photos. I wish that there could have been a picture of me taking the picture of them - it was a classic moment.

While the two other people that went out with me that day had both jet-skied extensively, I was the novice. John made sure that I knew what I was doing, and felt comfortable with everything. They made sure that the pace was a comfortable one. We slowed down to watch the wildlife and the beautiful scenery. By the end of the day, I was so proud of myself - I was racing right up next to them and certainly holding my own in the race!

During the weeks after my trip, this was all I could talk about. I think I told everyone I knew! I know that I will be going back every opportunity that I get. And, after living in Alaska for over 13 years, I have never had the opportunity to do anything so wonderful. Not even whitewater rafting in Denali could hold a candle to this.

This is definitely a trip of a lifetime, a trip that I would highly suggest to anyone who is considering it. Invite your friends, invite your family … even invite your parents. It is certainly a trip for anyone who wants to see "the Alaska that nobody else gets to see." mb

SEPTEMBER 03 SILVER SALMON FISHING

Hello John,

I want to thank you for a great time. When my papa told me we were going "Sea Dooing" out of Whittier, I thought it was going to be a boring outing. First of all, I did not have that good of an idea of what "Sea Dooing" was and I thought I was going to go on some sort of boat ride, setting behind my papa. But, lucky for me I was wrong and to my surprise it was quite exciting! I really enjoyed my own "Sea Doo" and being behind the controls and cruising across the ocean was a thrill!
I told my friends that we left Whittier and went out to Esther Island in search of fish. And along the way we were greeted and entertained by sea lions that did barrel rolls under us. We went through some rough water areas around Esther Island looking for that special fishing spot and how you guys were surprised at how well I kept up. I told them I caught my limit of Silvers salmon and before I knew it, it was time to head back. It didn't feel like I had been on the ocean for eight hours until the next day. Even though I had a few sore muscles, it was well worth it! I told them I would definitely do this trip again because it's an exciting water adventure and I got to experience the beauty of the ocean and some of its inhabitants. Of course, it's great being behind the wheel of a "Sea Doo"! Now all my friends want to go on the same adventure. Thank you John, for all the fun and excitement. I have a picture on my wall as a reminder of that special day with Star Bound Alaskan Adventures.
Sincerely,
