This is a one day tour. We will meet in Whittier as early as possible, Usually around 9:00 am. We will have a pre trip safety meeting that can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour. Then we will review maps and let those in the group decided where they will want to go. We have suggestions to make it easy but we try to get some input from the group. After all it is your trip and we like to have input from the group to say what it is that they will want to do. We don't want to show you something that you may have already seen. If there is a disagreement the final decision will be made by the guide. Then we will get our gear on and head out. Depending on the weather and how people feel we will stay out until the last minute and try to catch the 10:00 pm return trip through the Whittier Tunnel.

Things to Bring with you on the trip:

Prepare for the worst! It is only one day but you can never know when we may have to put into shore somewhere and wait out a storm.

Pack a lunch: We used to pack lunch for people but then figured out that we had no way to know what people do or do not like. Way simpler if you bring what you like. Then no one goes hungry and everyone likes what they have.

Bring warm dry clothes: It is good to bring an extra set of clothes with you. The plan is to only stay out for the day and not to get wet. You can never predict what the weather will do. Plus when you get back to the dock it feels good to travel in dry clothes.

Bring Dry Socks: Minimum of 2 extra pair.

A water Proof Bag For your gear: Bringing all the dry clothes and things does you no good unless you have a bag to keep them dry.

A sleeping bag: For emergency purposes only.

Top water dry Suit: If you have Dry suit that fits you it is a good idea to bring that. We have a few Dry suits that are large but you can rent them from Last Frontier Diving in Anchorage. If you can get a Top water Dry suit with booties that will keep your feet dry it is best. We will be wading around in the water from time to time and it is best to stay as dry as possible.

Rubber Boots: Used in Conjunction with the top water dry suit the rubber boots will help protect the dry suit from getting damaged when we got off at beaches for breaks and refueling.
