I’m on a mission –

Have you ever heard someone say that? To say he or she is on a mission?

It means generally that a person is "on task" or that they have an incredibly focused determination to accomplish or to make something happen.

AND, it’s a determination fueled by an intuition, or understanding, a rationale, or a particular belief that this activity must occur.

But, I must admit that sometimes when I’m on a mission…

I’m not able to articulate or to even take the time to figure out what’s driving me.

And this thought got me to thinking about a certain time in my life.

I was 12 years old. (tell story of Camp Istrouma in La. – Paul and Don Cotrill lost in canoe, boiling water)
