| 1993 Dodge Grand Caravan LE |
| We are selling our trusty old family van. While this vehicle has high
mileage, it has been well maintained and is completely reliable. I have had
this car on a steady diet of Mobile 1 synthetic since it had about 50K on
the odometer. It shows as the engine runs as good as new and burns virtually
no oil. The body is in great shape for a car of this age. It has all original paint
and has never been in any accidents. There is some surface rust
behind the wheels where sand and gravel have sand-blasted the paint, and
there is some flaking and pealing of paint on the roof from the sun. There
also the usual
number of rock dents around, but overall this car is in great shape. I have
done little detailing to this car, so what your see is what you get. While
I have taken great care to insure an accurate representation of this auto,
there is no warranty expressed or implied. The buyer assumes all risks
associated with purchasing this vehicle . |

Rated Condition: |
Good |
"Good" condition means
that the vehicle is free of any major defects. This vehicle has a
clean
title history , the paint, body and interior have only minor (if any) blemishes,
and there are no major mechanical problems. There should be little
or no rust on this vehicle. The tires match and have substantial
tread wear left. A "good" vehicle will need some reconditioning to
be sold at retail. Most consumer owned vehicles fall into this
category.

| Private Party Value |
$2,070 |
|
Private Party Value is
what a buyer can expect to pay when buying a used car from a private
party. The Private Party Value assumes the vehicle is sold "As Is"
and carries no warranty (other than the continuing factory
warranty). The final sale price may vary depending on the vehicle's
actual condition and local market conditions. This value may also be
used to derive Fair Market Value for insurance and vehicle donation
purposes. |

Recent Maintenance items:
 | All new fuel injectors. after replacing two fuel injectors for seeping
fuel, I decided to replace the remaining four when the third one started
to leak.
|
 | New brake disks and pads (front) and shoes and drums (rear). The
brakes work better than new.
|
 | Shocks and Struts. Were replaced in the last 15K miles with top of the
line gas shocks and struts from Johnson's. Should last for quite while.
|
 | The tranny was rebuilt about eighteen months ago. Caravans are prone
to transmission problems and this vehicle has been no exception.
Unfortunately I had the dealership replace the transmission the first two
times and it only last long enough each time for the warranty to expire.
This time I took it to A Affordable Transmission in Anchorage. They are
supposed to be the best Alaska has to offer. Although the warranty has now
expired, we have put on very few miles since it was rebuilt. It shifts
better than ever and I suspect the job was done right this time.
|
 | The windshield was recently replaced.
|
 | Spark-plugs and wires.
|
 | Air and oil filters and fresh Mobile 1 Synthetic in 5w-30.
|
 | Heavy duty battery.
|
 | Rebuilt alternator.
|
 | Serpentine belt.
|
|
Known Issues:
 | The left rear tail-light has a broken mount on one end. The light
assembly has
been like this for years and isn't going anywhere, so I just ignored the
problem.
|
 | The electric radiator fan vibrates. You can notice it when idling and
the fan comes on. Again, I have not felt compelled to deal with this.
|
 | The surface rust and paint scale mentioned earlier.
|
 | While there is plenty of rubber left, the tires aren't the greatest.
The last set of summer tires I purchased were some cheapies from Johnson's
Tire. They handled like such garbage that at the end of last winter I
decided to pull the studs from our Good Year winter tires and run those
during the summer. We've been using those since. The tires are good enough
to navigate winter safely, and work reasonably well enough on dry or wet
roads, but you'll probably want to replace them in the not too distant
future.
|
 | The front speakers cut in and out at times. Turning the volume up
usually solves the problem, at least temporarily. I have no idea what is
causing this problem
|
 | The lights in the stereo are burnt out and difficult if not impossible
to read at night. You'll probably want to replace the stereo soon.
|
 | I lost (or it was stolen) a hub-cap. I couldn't find a replacement at
the bone-yard, so I bought some plastic aftermarket caps and they seem to
be working fine. I am including the remaining three original hub-caps.
|
 | The drivers side seat is beginning to show signs of wear.
