of the 198th Light Infantry Bridgade, Americal Division

June 2001 Reunion
Cedar Stone Lodge, near Eminence, Missouri

      Cedar Stone Lodge
offers bed and breakfast rooms,
giving an alternative to camping,
which was also available.

Main gathering and eating place.

A group of brothers arrived early to
build a fireplace. A memorial plaque was placed on it.

Greetings begin as people arrive!

This year's reunion had a special visitor!
Max Lofgren brought his souped-up 55 Chevy with all 2211 names of
those who are POW/MIA from Vietman listed on the body of the car.
Max served in Bravo Company from '69 - '70. He shows and races this car
throughout the US. Phil Verle, who coordinated the reunion this year, got to ride shotgun!

For more information on the
POW-MIA 55 Chevy, see their web site.

A record number of spouses and children attended
this year. Sons and daughters were of all ages: adult,
high school, grade school. And for the first time,
the parent of a brother, and grandchildren of a brother,
attended. Four generations!

A memorial service was held again this year
for four borthers lost in Vietnam:
William Blackmon, David Coon,
John Dobroski, and Michel McPeters.

A fifth name was added to the list
when brother Dave Dickerson died
last March in a motorcycle accident.

      Brothers share pictures and memories,
as well as trying out Phil's computer,
inside the lodge.

Kathryn and Dan taught an
energy healing class, as well as
give individual healing sessions.
