1904 the Marvin book was published and Stephen Marvin (Jeremiah's son)
purchased a copy of the book and identified his father's family. In the Ann
Marvin Burger family record appeared the Jeremiah and under it was Lawson,
alonzo, Rastus, William, Jahial, John, Henry, and Clarinda. Under the name of
phoebe were Sarah, Stephen, Abraham, and Ellen. Under the names of Jeremiah
and Phoebe together, were the names of all THEIR children as we know them.

He didn't appear in the WTR book. However, he certainly fit with the questionable "Lawson" that showed up in the group of names that appeared to be the siblings of Jeremiah, and could have been misread, using a "w" for what should have been an n. The older children grew up around some of the uncles. "Rastus" is really stretching the imagination, but everything else seems to fit, so we will keep an open mind for the time being. 1810 Census Cornwall, Litchfield, CT Seth Marvin 5m und 10 1f und 10 1m 10-15 1f 26-45 1m 26-45 Cornwall Land Records Liber 11, p. 266 Sold by Nehemiah and Elizabeth Marvin "It being the same land which was distributed to said Elizabeth out of the Estate of Her father Mr. David Baldwin dec'd." Copy in my files. The Probate Records also state that Elizabeth was given land by her brother, Joseph. Cornwall Town Records state Seth was the son of Elizabeth Baldwin Vol 3 p.6
Marvin History lists her as Newman or Herman. I think it may be Herman as
grandson Stephen named a son Thomas HERMAN. Thin, but likely
also Alanson's Grandson thur Seth is named HERMAN

Two possibilities follow as taken from the Delaware Gazette: 1 Barber p. 54 Feb 22 1837 Kortright 15th inst Rev. Mr.McCauley, Henry C Merwin of Meredith to Isabella Blakley, dau of William of Kortright/Death of Henry G Marvin 15 Apr 1846 Meredith 27th ult Having died young may account for his not being on the list of siblings from Ann's record and the WTR record shows him toward the end of the list of Seth's children, most likely one of Amaranda's children. Based on the above marriage date (if that was truly him) I would guess his year of birth to be about 1814/17
