Pat, Ihave the following: 1860 census of Darien, Genesee County, NY 1.Daniel Marvin 59 2.Adaline Marvin 58 b Canada 3.Alexander Marvin 17, male 4.Wm Henry Marvin 15, male 5. Frances Marvin 7, female (may be a gender mistake) 6. Joseph D. Marvin 2, male I have all the above children listed in the listed in the 1880 census of Sumpter township, Wayne county, Michigan. They were apparently living on farms near each other. The only difference was Francis Marion Marvin living with his wife and children. The 1860 census might have a gender mistake. All the ages were correct in both censuses. I have seen evidence that a Daniel Marvin was born about 1802, son of Jesse Marvin and a Jane Brewster. Alexander Marvin was from Brockport, Monroe county, NY (Monroe county was part of Genesee county before it was split into 9 or 10 other counties or parts of other counties) My family sources (death certificate) have William Henry Marvin b Chautauqua County, NY which was also part of Monroe county at one time.
