2577. John Cross, Jr.

Marriage date from "Book of marriage records from Newspapers", Cheshire Co.
Historical Society, Keene, NH. Marriage Int. of 19 Jan 1830 from History of
Walpole, NH, Martha McDanolds Frizzell, Walpole Historical Soc., 1963. Vol. 1

In Essex Co. New York in census of 1850, 1855, 1860, 1865 & 1870

In Burke, VT in 1833 - History of Walpole

Probate records in Cheshire Co., Keene, NH show death there. Son Charles W.
was paid $40 from estate to take body to Essex, NY for burial. They also show
that his wife's name was Abbie and that he was a widower. If this is true he
must have married again, though there may have been some confusion with
daughter Abbey who may have lived with him and not married - she was still
living at home at age 36 in 1870 NY census.

John Cross, Jr. was sometimes called Jonathan.

NY census records from 1850 - 1870. There are discrepancies in ages in these
census records.
