Scott Thompson's art  work reflects a life time spent in the great outdoors of Western Canada,  Montana, and Alaska .    

My mother is a wonderful artist, and I have always counted it a blessing that  I received some of that talent from her.   Aside from 6 th grade art class most of my training has been from the school of hard knocks, cut fingers, and sore knuckles so  when I say " there is a little bit of me in all my work", I mean it literally.   

  My Dad, who passed away two years ago, always found the time to get us kids around the outdoors.   I am  pretty sure that I took this particular guidance a little to much to heart (at the expense of  other advice) and have found myself spending entirely to much time in the woods, on a mountain, or along some stream.   

Two great gifts I received from my parents,
