About

Alaskan Nebraskans

Welcome all fellow Nebraskan and Cornhusker Fans!

This far far north Husker Club was started many years ago by Ned Eastlack and is headed today by fellow Nebraskan and UNL Alumni Mick Brogan, Club President.  At the time only a few Nebraskans found their way so far north.  Today this has changed.  The very guarded secret of Alaska is getting out and large numbers of Nebraskans are finding themselves transplanted in the biggest state.  Nebraskans are now seen everywhere displaying their T-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets and vehicle license plates.  Many AK4NE club goers tell of their stories of being honked at, waved at, stopped in malls and even approached on passenger planes asking "Are you from Nebraska?"  A member of the club was even approached by coach Dan Young on a plane going from Anchorage to Seattle in Jan 1998.  He said the four hour flight was exciting sitting next to a Husker coach and talking about football.

The club is going strong with fans attending televised games together at the Peanut Farm and other sites located around the state.  The goal for the club is simply to get together with fellow Husker Fans to cheer our team on during football games and any other sports event that may come along.  We also want to contact as many Husker fans in Alaska to let them know this club is for them and to attend the gathering when they can.

We get together whenever there is a televised Husker football game or simply when other members want to get together for any other event that comes up.
