I am currently planning to lead a new ride in the Lost lake/Seward area.  The dates for this ride will be 25-28 January which is a Friday thru Monday.  This ride will be an “all skill level ride” or family ride and all are welcome.  I've tried to plan a ride that not only involves a new area for most of us, but also one that is not too hard on the pocketbook.  I believe what I have put together will give the riders the most bang for the buck possible.

"The Plan"

Friday, 25 Jan. Depart Anchorage for Seward.  Lodging will be in the Seward Military Resort townhouses.  If you are interested in what these accommodations look like please visit their website at www.sewardresort.com.  Click on room info and click on the townhouse link.  According to the site, the townhouse can sleep six, but I will only book each for two couples or four total people.  The townhouses have full kitchens so you can prepare all your breakfast and lunch meals there.

Saturday, 26 Jan. Be ready to depart at 9:00 A.M.  We will caravan 18 miles to Primrose trailhead and ride from there.  Lunch will be on your own.  We will try to leave the trailhead and head back to Seward around 5:00 P.M. +/- ½ hour.  Dinner will be scheduled for 7:30 PM at the Elks Club in Seward and a spaghetti feed is on tap.

Sunday, 27 Jan. We will meet up again at 9:00 A.M. and caravan back to the Primrose trailhead and ride up and explore a completely different area.  Lunch will be on your own.  We will try to leave at or around 5:00 P.M. again.  That night dinner will be a dish to pass and whatever kind of meat or main course you want to eat.  This will be a great opportunity to share stories of the trail or maybe even watch snowmobiling videos.

Monday, 28 Jan. We will check out by 1100 hrs and drive home. 

"The Food"

Fri 25^th                         Dinner on your own

Sat 26^th                        Breakfast and lunch on your own

                                     Dinner at Elks Lodge (no price yet, but I am figuring $10-person)

Sun 27^th                       Breakfast and lunch on your own

                                     Dinner will be pot-luck and grill your own meat

Mon 28^th                      Departure food on your own

"The Price"

Couples: $135 dollars for 3 nights lodging and Saturday night meal at Elks Lodge.

Single:  Plan on paying $125 if you want to have your own room.
