About Us

The Curry Ridge Riders Snowmobile Club will be leading a ride in the Petersville/South Denali area on February 9, 2008.  This ride will begin at the Parks Hwy 121.5 parking lot, leaving at 10:30 am.  Anyone who prefers to start from the Petersville Road can meet the group at the Reflector Tree at about 11 am.  Watch the Ride Schedule on the website for more specifics on where we will go, or any updates.  The ride will be intermediate level, but not too difficult.  We will travel about 50-60 miles.  Bring lunch or snacks, water, sunscreen (hopefully needed), and dress warm.  The ride is open to CRR members, and Anchorage Snowmobile Club members.  New members can sign-up at the start.

Feb 7 update:  Trail conditions were great today when a couple members pre-rode the Club ride.  Snow that has seen any prior traffic is lumpy, but  untouched snow is great.  It was warm (relatively: about +10) and only a light breeze.  We plan to take a route about 1/2 on trails, and 1/2 not, to Lunchbox Hill, (at the North end of Deep Creek) which is the jumping off place for the Peters and Dutch Hills.  If conditions are good we will go to the Hills.

Check the Hotline at the last minute for any updates.
