catch of the dayDan and Jean Gabryszak, owners and operators, welcome you to the Yentna Station Roadhouse. Located at Mile 18 of the Yentna River, we are just a 30 minute flight 75 miles northwest of Anchorage. We are an Alaskan Bush lodge, meaning there are no roads leading to our door. In Summer, transportation is available by float plane or boat. In Winter, reach us by ski plane, snowmachine, dog team, or human power (cross-country ski, snowshoe, bicycle or foot).

Having children of our own, we are family oriented, so your children are very welcome.

SUMMER! LET'S TALK FISH!

map of Yentna Station Roadhouse and vicinity The Yentna River offers many freshwater streams that are excellent for fishing for all species of Salmon.

Our experienced father/son guides know where the hot spots are. They prefer to fish in the smaller streams near the Lodge that are quiet and less crowded. If combat fishing is what you like, they can take you there also!

We supply all fishing gear and tackle. Bait is available for Silver Salmon, but is not allowed for Kings-lures only. You are welcome to bring your favorite, lucky fishing gear if you like.

We prefer no more than 8 people per fishing trip, so we can give more personalized service to our clients. We can fillet or steak your catch, and keep it cold or frozen during your stay. For fishing trips of three days or longer, we will gladly smoke some of your catch for you.

WINTER! LET'S TALK SNOW!

Winter activities include snow machining, cross-country skiing, ice fishing and more Winter offers a variety of outdoor activities at Yentna Station Roadhouse. Snowmachine trails from Willow, Big Lake, and Pt. MacKenzie lead to the Station and on to Nome. For the not so adventurous, we keep an airstrip maintained for ski planes. Come out to snowmachine, mush, skijor, cross-country ski, ice fish, or just to kick back and relax away from the mad rush of the City. You can also watch various kinds of races.

Winter services include bed & breakfast, cabins, meals, gas and oil. Reservations for overnight stays are recommended. We can arrange guided snowmachine and sled dog tours, and air transportation upon request.

Contact us for trail, snow, and weather conditions before beginning your winter trek into the Alaskan wilderness.

Although we are in a remote location, phone and e-mail services are available. We are primitive in some ways, but have many modern conveniences (lights, TV, computer) all powered by solar energy that make life comfortable.

We may not have roads, but we are not totally cut off from civilization!
